summer resident mission

The CGM Summer Resident Mission is a nine-week experience on the West Side of Montgomery, Alabama. Participants live, serve, learn, and grow with other college age or older folks, and neighborhood friends in a neighborhood that is under-resourced and stressed in many ways.

Participants help run an 8-week summer camp during the day that consists of about 100 neighborhood children between the ages of 6-14.

Participants will have an opportunity to lead CGM students in daily small group Bible studies and character development training, while also engaging in sports, community service, field trips, music and many other fun activities throughout the summer.

For the summer of 2015, the SRM will take place from May 25 - July 24.

I’ve grown more spiritually in the past two months than I probably have in the past year and a half.
